Grievance Redressal
Himalayan Observer has a grievance redressal mechanism for complaints about our content in relation to the Code of Ethics for digital news publishers, as provided under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. See our Code of Ethics.
Grievance Officer
Pooja Nanda
Grievance Officer, Himalayan Observer Media Services
How to file a grievance
Email the Grievance Officer with:
- your name and contact details;
- a link to the article or content concerned;
- what you believe is wrong, and which part of the Code of Ethics you believe it breaches;
- the action you are asking us to take;
- any evidence that supports your complaint.
What happens next
- We acknowledge your grievance within 24 hours of receiving it.
- The Grievance Officer examines it and we communicate our decision to you within 15 days.
- If we find that a correction, clarification, update or removal is warranted, we make it and tell you what we have done.
If you are not satisfied
Himalayan Observer Media Services is not currently a member of a self-regulating body of publishers. If you are not satisfied with our decision on a grievance, you may take it to the oversight mechanism of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
